About Us

Blingdom is a wonderful story. Judy Mackenzie is the sole owner of Blingdom Jewelry and she lives in one of the most beautiful places in the world, Vancouver British Columbia. Her inspiration and the creativity of her key designer Sharyn Pountney is derived from living in West Vancouver, British Columbia.

Judy, her husband and Sharyn moved from Toronto to live in Vancouver 3 years ago to enjoy the more natural setting of mountains and ocean living. Inspired by the creative talents within the city, Judy and Sharyn immediately began feeding their passion of jewelry making by taking a series of courses at the local college and private studios not to mention the great joy of discovering rock, gem and pearl sources.

With the use of gold, silver, semi precious stones, Swarovski crystals and pearls the jewelry became very successful using a house party model. This model allows us to keep our prices within a reasonable range for the quality of product received which is a serious competitive advantage for Blingdom. Judy and Sharyn continue to make all the jewelry themselves and take commissioned orders for unique pieces by clients.

In January of 2007 Judy will be adding fine silver (99.9% silver) and 24 Karat gold to the already rapidly growing collection of designs.

Blingdom is truly a family affair as Brock is the “head Bead Counter” and keeps the financial side of the business on track.
